Refurbishment and expansion of a private house through prefabricated additions that structure a courtyard system accommodating a medical practice, a vintage car restoration workshop and upgraded residential units

The project intervenes on a semi-detached house located in the Canavese area through a strategy of adaptive reuse of the existing building, introducing a new medical practice and a small prefabricated structure dedicated to the restoration of vintage cars. The demolition and relocation of the low-rise annex allow for a redefinition of the overall layout, generating private courtyards that organize the new functions and mediate the relationship between public and private spaces. The courtyards become the generating elements of the project, ensuring privacy and offering diverse spatial experiences, while on the first floor the two apartments are redesigned to improve spatial quality.
